This holding back, its very heavy, isn’t it?
This not saying what you wanted to. This tip-toeing, this walking the line, this being so damn ‘agreeable.’ Each yes that is not truly in line with who you are is a slight shrinking of your soul, felt only a little each day, but over time, turns to a heavy slouch.
What if for just today, you practiced being light. Speaking your truth, standing tall with your feet growing roots into the earth, what if just for today you didn’t do or say anything out of alignment with your deepest inner knowing.
What if you didn’t care what others think. Or said. What if, for a moment you felt such intense love for yourself, just the way you are, that you could say No to someone with a smile, and know that everything is just perfect between you.
What if every Yes was not just to be agreeable, but was in response to something that shot you forward and upward because it was a little risk that scared you in a good way.
What are you so afraid of?
“Criticism is something you can easily avoid by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.” ~Aristotle
