Top Astrology Reports and Tips for Thursday’s New Moon and The Triple Solar Eclipse

The New Moon and Solar Eclipse is Thursday, May 9 at 6:29 PM Mountain Daylight Time. This is the second eclipse out of three and makes for an intense and potent time under the stars. has pulled together not only the BEST of the best astrologists predictions, but we also recommend the below tips and a beautiful Halo Sound Healing call (see bottom) to bring it in. Enjoy!

Astrologists and ancient sages repeatedly tell us that A New Moon is always a good time to come to a still point and reset anything that is not working.  So take some time to evaluate what you have manifested in your life that is no longer a welcome situation. Use the new moon time to make a commitment to change it and set some intentions in that direction.

Some critical tips for right now:

1) Be careful what you ask for and most of all, be careful of how you may judge what you are manifesting at this time.

2) Try and stay very very positive despite what may be happening in your life. See everything as an opportunity for movement either towards or away from something.

3) Work with gratitude on a daily basis as the lubricant for your intentions. And don’t get distracted by what other people are doing and other peoples drama.

4)  Always give yourself the freedom to choose something different. Remember you always have a choice.

From Virgo Magic:

Whoa. There’s a lot of intensity right now, a lot going on. Deep breath, everyone. We’re fast approaching the second of three Eclipses, which, consciously navigated, are profound portals of transformation, initiations into new realities. But this process is typically not so comfortable, and if you’re feeling overwhelmed, confused, stuck, freaked out, pulled in too many directions, or just plain out of sorts, then you are perfectly in tune with the cosmic energies.

Thursday’s Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio (12:57 pm PDT) is an extra-potent Full Moon that is stirring up some serious shadow material. Eclipses are always about revealing what’s buried in the subconscious, but this one, in the sign that rules the shadow, the subconscious, and all things taboo – sex, death and money – brings a double dose of darkness. Scorpio wants authenticity, passion, vitality, depth, intimacy and hot sex, and this Eclipse is showing us all of our fears, blocks and resistance to getting there.

This Eclipse wants us to plant seeds for a new life direction based on our deepest values, passions and desires. Having a solid sense of self-worth, and the kind of security that comes from being grounded in our bodies and on the planet, makes it much easier to trust our inner impulses and embrace vitality. High-vibration Taurus revels in the sensual experience of living in a body on this miraculous Earth. Low-vibration Taurus, which pretty much defines the dominant culture, seeks a sense of worth, security and grounding through accumulating money and material possessions, trashing the planet in the process.

From Dr Michael Lennox at Dreaming

This lunation is terribly important to the process that this wormhole offers us.  We are in the midst of an opportunity to land in brand new territory when this shakeup completes itself next month.  And by territory, I mean consciousness, although that change in consciousness for some will result in new landscapes in your outer world as well.  Because it is an eclipse, the transformation that can happen here is a true restructuring of how you inhabit your life.

The New Moon, a seed planting event, is always the most potent moment to exercise our free will in any cycle and even more so during an eclipse.  Create powerful intentions for yourself in these next few days and you will be participating mightily in the huge shift that is at hand.  Leave it up to chance and you will feel all the more out of control and at the affect or your world rather than feeling like a powerful co-creator.  You may not get the form you think you are creating, but you can absolutely get the perspective you desire and perspective trumps form every time.

Thursday is the magic day and the New Moon is exact around 5:30pm PDT.  The entire day leading up to that point is what is known as the dark-of-the-moon, where the soil of consciousness is most fertile for the receiving of new seeds of intention.  The reverberations of this eclipse will last for several days after, making the entire weekend fruitful ground as well.  No matter when you choose to honor this moment, do it with grounded gusto, for the earthy sign of Taurus is best met with the body in a physically tangible way.

Taurus rules the throat, so using your voice during this ritual is a very good idea.  Sing, chant, pray out loud; make sound!   Additionally, Taurus is the most luxurious of the archetypes, so the more sensual you can make what you do, the better.  As the first of the three earth signs, I highly recommend taking whatever results from your process, such as a written prayer or creatively expressed set of intentions, and bury it as if it were a seed you were planting; for truly, it is.

This Is No Easy Full Moon. Sincerely, Scorpio

full moon astrology report

It may seem like every astrology report starts with how “potent” the Full Moon will be this month, but trust us – this one is going to be a feisty one.

Not only will April 25th embody the Full Moon in Scorpio, but it is also intensified by the first lunar eclipse of the spring season.  Here are some astral insights for you to bring forward prior to the Full Moon:

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurs on Thursday, April 25th, 2013, at 3:57 PM EDT, 5 degrees Scorpio.

This Full Moon is a balancing act between content Taurus and ravenous Scorpio. Taurus’ energy deals with personal values, the material world, and security; while Scorpio rules transformation, change, destruction, and strips away what is false and corrupt. The foundation may be shaking as false beliefs and values are being destroyed bringing in purity, truth, and deepening our human experience. You’re being directed to resolve your shadow side and transform it into light. This Full Moon/Lunar eclipse may also bring up seeds that you have sown a long time ago. Whether it is this lifetime or beyond, whatever appears and activates emotional stuff is what needs to be cleared and balanced through being responsible and accepting your part in it. Denying or avoiding will only keep the issue stuck to you longer than necessary.

Cosmic insider, Jana Groscot Matthews, of New Moon Manifesting says, “The Full Moon in Scorpio is an ideal time to delve deep into the unconscious and how you relinquish or use your power. Look at what motivates your behavior and action. How does this relate to your sense of security on both a physical and emotional level? Are the old ways managing your power working for you? During the Scorpio Full Moon you can let go of the old and rise from the ashes to create something new. But in doing so it may feel like so
From a Soul-level perspective, as one accepts responsibility for their part in the experience or issue, the insight is extracted and thus deep healing occurs. One then can be free to move forward without being on repeat. Find the courage to face whatever the Full Moon in Scorpio is enlightening for you. Your growth may be astounding.meone whacked you on top of the head with a dose of truth. Sometimes the truth hurts. But Scorpio helps us take responsibility for actions that stop you from getting what you want. You may not like what you see, but know that you are being guided for your highest good towards healing and spiritual evolution.”

This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of an intimate nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between collecting and sharing.

This is no easy Full Moon – it asks us to find the courage to face our truth. Only in seeing our truth can we truly change.

New Moon in Aries: The Most Important 12 days of the Year

Aries Horoscope

Today, Tuesday March 12 is the New Moon of Aries, the beginning of a new lunar calendar, according to the ancient practice of Kabbalah.  It is believed that in these next twelve days, we create and control our experience or destiny for the next twelve months.  Rav Berg, Kabbalah teacher and author of “Days of Power” says Aries “is the battleground which will determine the outcome of all battles that will arise during the next year.”

The 16th century Kabbalist Rav Isaac Luria (the Ari) taught that each of
corresponds to and directly influences each of the 12 months of the year.

For example, day one of Aries corresponds to the month of Aries, day two to Taurus, day three to Gemini, and so on. Why is this important to know? Because how you think and act on these 12 days affects the shape and future of the upcoming months.

Each of the first 12 days of Aries presents you with an opportunity to overcome whatever it is that normally blocks you from receiving the fulfillment you desire – and deserve.

How you respond to the tests of the first 12 days affects the outcome of how you will experience the coming year. In general, be as proactive as possible, and familiarize yourself with the types of challenges you’ll be facing.

This guide has been created to steer you through the challenges so that you can create an incredible start to the new year.

• Remember the past to avoid repeating mistakes
• Before acting – ask for the Light to guide you
• Decrease ego by remembering we are just a channel for Light
• Empathize with others
• Avoid conflict

It’s time to break the “me, me, me” syndrome

Meditate on the letters.
As I look into my soul, I can feel the sore places where I have been wounded by my ego: worry over what people think about me, needing to be right, angry when things don’t go my way. As I let it go and reach for Light on a higher plane, those places in my soul open up. I am free, my ego diminishes and I concentrate on what is really important: love.

• Listen to others
• Embrace discomfort
• Actively share with others
• Transform complacency to movements

Coming out of the “Comfort Zone”

Meditate on the letters.
As I look into my soul, I can feel the sore places where I have been wounded by my ego: worry over what people think about me, needing to be right, angry when things don’t go my way. As I let it go and reach for Light on a higher plane, those places in my soul open up. I am free, my ego diminishes and I concentrate on what is really important: love.

• Focus on details
• See the big picture
• Finish what you start
• Trust the Light, not your mind

Stop putting it off until later…it’s now or never.

Meditate on the letters.
Think of an unfinished project that is an obstacle in your life.
Decide you are going to finish it and follow through, and begin this meditation. I see the unfinished project in front of me. I am going to complete [enter project here] as I visualize myself [enter the process necessary for completion here]. I feel frustration and procrastination drifting away. I am getting closer to completing my goal. As I breathe, I get even closer. I feel stronger, more connected to my Light Force. Laziness and doubt are gone, and I see myself fulfilled, creating more space for even greater accomplishments.

• Let go of fears and possessions
• Take a risk – Trust the Light
• Realize that all the money in the world can’t give you a sense of security
• only connection to the Light can
• Do a sharing action daily
• Count your blessings
• Live in the present

Let Go…Fear, insecurity -Get rid of it all.

Meditate on the letters.
I am letting go of past pain, regret, trauma. All of it. [If there is a particular theme or moment that you keep coming back to, picture it in your mind. As you do this meditation, go back to that moment,
then reverse it, plant a new seed.] I will release past emotions that are dragging me down, replacing old baggage with Light and love.
I look forward, not back.

• Think before speaking
• Use strength to help others, not to dominate them
• Be more empathetic; understand others perspective
•  Be sensitive to another person’s feelings
• Don’t be the center of attention

Meditate on the letters.
I will purge anger from my heart, free my soul of the burden that comes with reacting to the external.
As I recall, I see that I was swayed by the darkness.
I gave power to the situation instead of taking a moment to pull back, of restricting, and keeping the real power in my own hands.
As I invoke this name, I realize that nothing in the physical world can cause me to react with anger.

• Let go of the desire to control the physical
• Be proactive and ask questions
• Seek to understand, not judge
•  Realize we are not in control
• Realize the only one solving the problem is the Light
• Look for the good and positive in everything

This might sound crazy, but maybe you’re wrong? Maybe?

Meditate on the letters.
I will spread love for no reason.
I will resist my tendencies toward judgment.
As I look back on negative words or deeds from my past, I replace them with Light and compassion, sending positive forces out into the universe to replace the negative ones. I will look upon others with compassion, sweetening the judgments as they come my way.

• Make decisions and be certain about them
• Don’t question past decisions
• Share for the right reasons

You’ve just got to have faith.

Meditate on the letters.
I have absolute certainty that what is right will happen through proactive behavior.
I take complete responsibility for my life and know that I am getting what I need right now.
And as I continue to allow more Light and certainty into my life, I will get even more.

• Stay calm; don’t create crises
• Be proactive
• Think of consequences on self and others
• Invite the Light in
• Achieve fulfillment through self-control
• Don’t control

The only thing more destructive than hating
others is hating yourself.

Meditate on the letters.
God is within. I connect to the divine power in my soul and awaken an incredible source. My confidence is fortified so that I am empowered to solve my problems, to eradicate the chaos and confusion in my life.
I am aware of the good within and the good that I can do, if I choose to take responsibility for the Light in me. It has always been there–now I see it.

• Practice forgiveness
• Look out for details
• Make a commitment and stick to it
• Analyze the whole situation before making a decision
• Be more sensitive to others; watch what you say

Open Up…That’s it, a little more, good, a little more…

Meditate on the letters.
As I focus on unconditional love, for all people around me, the dark forces within are cast out. In the past, I have felt hatred for certain people. Now, as I picture those people in my mind, I feel only love. Light washes over them, and me, and I recognize the common thread that we share—the spark of the Creator. My heart opens as I wish them joy and fulfillment, peace and greater understanding.

• Rely on the 99%, not the physical world
• Realize everything is from the Light
• Express emotions
• Realize emotions are tools, not purposes

Loosen the chains around your heart

Meditate on the letters.
I want to bring all future and existing relationships to the level of Soul Mate. I want to relate to all those around me on this heightened spiritual plane, and bring greater Light into my life.

• Don’t be unique
• Be a team player
• Practice compassion
• Make dependability a habit
• Transform ego into humility
• Create win/win situations through sharing
• Build relationships; care about others
• There’s no “I’” in team (cliché but true)

Meditate on the letters.
I am going to get out of the way and allow the Light to guide me.In the past, I have been stubborn, set in my ways, and I will let go. Instead of clinging to my beliefs, I will open up, and allow the Light of the Upper Dimensions to shine down into my realm and transform my life. I have real desire, not for myself alone, but to connect to something greater.

• Be a leader
•  Initiate action
• Balance logic and emotion
• Handle pressure with certainty
• Go the extra mile
• Feel other people’s pain, not your own

Repeat after me: “I am not a victim.”

Meditate on the letters.
I am not a victim.
All of my feelings of self-pity and my hopes of retaliation are vanishing, as I accept the consequences of my own actions.
I take responsibility for where I am, and know that if I want to change my circumstances, it is within my control.
I will be proactive, and achieve my own fulfillment. I am letting go of pain, and regaining control over my life.

Kabbalistic Wisdom of Aquarius – Month of Light

One of the beautiful things about living in the internet age is that we have so much exposure to different spiritual schools of thought.  And if you live in L.A. there is a all-you-can-eat buffet of centers and religions that welcome you with open arms and open minds.  The Kabbalah Center on Robertson Blvd (yes, the one Madonna made famous) is no exception.

The word Kabbalah means many different things to many different people. In a nutshell, it is an ancient wisdom that reveals how the universe and life work. It is a set of esoteric teachings, which explains,  ”that all of the branches of our lives – health, relationships, business – emanate from the same trunk and the same root.” It seeks to define the nature of the universe and the human being, the nature and purpose of existence, and various other ontological questions.  It’s meant to fit into whatever current faith or path one is following.

Kabbalah teaches us that each month, we have the ability to take control over the astrological influences. Here’s a great read on the month of Aquarius by Karen Berg, Spiritual Director of the Kabbalah Center Los Angeles, which offers wisdom on how to take control of your consciousness of this month.

True Freedom- Aquarius

The month of Aquarius is known to be a month of Light, freedom, and the ability to connect with the “big picture.” Kabbalistically, we know that each of us is influenced by the energy of every month, even if we are not born in that month. This means that even if we are, for instance. a Cancer or a Gemini or a Pisces, we will still be influenced by the energy of the month of Aquarius: first, because this is the energy that is available to us right now, and second, because each of us has with in us a little of each of the 12 signs of the zodiac.

Perhaps the most apparent quality of Aquarians is that they love freedom and hate to be constrained. Aquarians are the type of people who might say, “I am who I am, and if you don’t like it… tough!” At the same time, however, the Aquarian nature is to be philanthropic, to worry about the world, to be a part of humanitarian causes. The reason for this is that the Aquarian mind sees the big picture. On the other hand, family and interpersonal relationships can be problematic for Aquarians. Don’t get me wrong, Aquarians love the world and believe in the concepts of brotherly love and understanding; they just have difficulty in loving a single person because their mindset and scope are so broad and capable that they refuse to be restricted.

So what does this information mean for us this month? How can we use this energy of freedom and the big picture to rise to our next level? Well, basically, the challenge this month will be to practice listening to and being present with those around us. This may seem counterintuitive to the vastness of Aquarian ideas, but in the long run, being attentive to others can be the key to helping us translate all of our brilliant thoughts into reality. The truth is that, yes, we can have big ideas and big dreams. But if we can’t communicate with those around us, if we can’t hear the messages that the universe is sending us all the time, then how do we expect to move forward to bring our dreams to reality?

Now you may be saying: What do you mean? I have ears and I hear! But really, the truth is that most of us don’t really hear because we hear with our own egos. We hear the things that we want to hear, not necessarily what the other person is trying to tell us. We can think of it this way: Have any of us ever been in an argument where we were absolutely wrong? Of course not! That’s why there was an argument in the first place.

So why is it that two people sometimes need an arbitrator to help them communicate? Is it because they don’t have ears? No, it’s because one person is right because his ego told him so, and the other person is also right because his ego also told him so. Ego is not necessarily always bad. It’s just the way we as humans automatically operate.

When something happens in our lives and we feel we are being criticized, we should look for what we can learn from the situation instead of automatically assuming the other person is wrong or seeking ways to get even. We need to ask ourselves: What is it that the Light is teaching me through this person? What can I learn from this situation to make myself stronger from the inside out?

When someone offends us or does something to us that is difficult to take or painful, we need to get to the point where we ask: Why did I deserve this? I know I deserved it, otherwise it wouldn’t have happened. Is it possible that this is happening to make me stronger, to make me listen more, to make me take more care?

This month, the key to the freedom that the Aquarian desires is to grant human dignity to those around us, to listen to others, and to try to see the situation from the other person’s point of view. This month, we need to try not to hear what our ego decides to hear—namely, our own decisions and opinions—but to really put ourselves aside, and through this effort, to grow and to manifest more of our soul’s potential.

SuperMoon on the Rise – The Significance of the Wesak Full Moon, May 5

If you had trouble sleeping last night, astrologers would say that it’s a normal effect of the growing full moon.

For most of the month, the moon stands between the light of the sun, stars and constellations, and us, shielding the earth from their light. But during a full moon, when the moon is completely out of the way of the Sun, we can receive energy directly from the Spiritual Sun, and from the stars and constellations that radiate very high spiritual energy. The full moon is the mark of the time of highest spiritual energies available, and many around the world say that the Full Moon of May – or Wesak moon, is the most powerful of the year.  It is as if a door is suddenly opened wide, which at other times is more closed, and through this door, it is possible to contact energies which are otherwise not easily available. Great expansions of consciousness become possible which are not possible at other times.

The Wesak Festival  is known to all Buddhists and Hindus and to many hundreds of millions of people of the Muslim faith, and is one of the most celebrated days of the year in those cultures.  It is a day which honors Buddha’s birth, life and enlightenment.    Awareness of this day and the healing energy, which radiates through the planet, is growing in western cultures and people honor this time by gathering together in prayer and meditation.    According to metaphysical tradition, the Buddha was born, attained enlightenment, and left Earthly incarnation under the Full Moon of May. And the Buddha returns at this time each year to bring new light to the world.

At a hard to reach place, high in the Himalayas, Spiritual leaders gather in Wesak Valley, and hold ceremony every year at the time of the full moon of May. A vast crowd assembles along with spiritual leaders in the valley, in front of a great rock table.  Legend has it that at the time of the ceremony (full moon) the energy body of the Buddha descends to a level close to the physical plane so that humans can benefit from the tremendous love that he radiates.  And, on this day and night of Wesak (May 5, 8:35 p.m. West Coast, 10:35 p.m. Midwest, 11:35 p.m. East), esotericists around the world place crystal bowls filled with water outside, and it’s said that as the Buddha blesses the world, all waters are also blessed.

And if ancient tradition won’t convince you of this moon’s power, here’s some science on the May moon from

The biggest full moon of the year, a so-called “supermoon,” will take center stage when it rises this weekend, and may interfere with the peak of an annual meteor shower created by the leftovers from Halley’s comet.  Supermoon Saturday (also called the ‘Flower Moon,’ and ‘Milk Moon)  will be only 221,802 miles from Earth, the closest to our planet this year.

At 11:35 p.m. EDT, on Saturday May 5, the moon will officially turn full – and only 25 minutes later the moon will also arrive at “perigee,” its closest approach to Earth — a distance of 221,802 miles (356,955 kilometers) away.  In fact, this month’s perigee is the closest of any perigee in 2012 (they vary by about 3 percent, because the moon’s orbit is not perfectly circular). The result will be a 16 percent brighter-than-average full moon accompanied by unusually high and low tides this weekend and into the new week.
