Tiny Time Machines

Tiny Time Machines Stealing Time Back

by Garni Sohrabian.

once upon a time, before clocks told the time

not yet tomorrow, after yesterday
the time is now, the day today

the clockmaker made a big noisy clock
strange it was and said tick tock tick tock

the time bandit, one noisy day
heard so much noise he could not play

he broke the clock to be free
and made it look like infinity

Garni Sohrabian started a shoe company with a friend right after college. It grew into into nineteen countries and everyone thought he had it all on the outside, but deep inside something was missing. After seven years, he sold his ownership in the shoe company to travel, write, and do some soul searching. After finally finding his soul again, he started tiny time machines with his fellow time bandit friend Armen Mahdessian. Now they break clocks and remind people to be here now. Or as they call it, “steal time back” from the clockmaker!

Take the plunge, marry yourself. Proclaim that you are fabulous!

Self Wedding 1Go on, take the plunge!

Marry someone who completely deserves your unconditional love… yourself!

Glad.is friends and all-round wonderful human beings Jeffrey Levin and Bonnie Powers, want to spread more love in the world, and have set out to get people to “take the plunge and marry yourself.”

Having conducted a number of self-weddings, this husband and wife team are out to grow this idea in as many ways as possible. They see the self-wedding idea as a movement that spreads happiness.  ”Love doesn’t start with the idea of waiting for the right one to complete you. Love starts with completing yourself. Realizing you are the right one,” says Powers. “The more you love yourself, the better able you are to love others.”

The Self-Wedding In-A-Box comes in a fabulous vintage-modern blush and mint colored kit with a sterling silver or 14k solid gold unisex ring designed by Levin, the ceremony verbiage, vows, and affirmation cards.  Their kit has all you need to create your own ceremony, including a self-wedding ring and vows.

I Married Me Self-Wedding In-A-Box is a genuinely inspirational practice. It reminds you, as you wear your ring, that the simplest thing you can do to make for a happier, more content life is to LOVE YOURSELF!

Help support this idea, and the campaign to raise funds on Indiegogo!

“It’s Your Turn to Fly, Baby, and If Not, Then I’ll be There To Catch You”

rion paige xfactor

…Said 13 year old Rion Page’s mother to her before she got on stage on the “X Factor” to sing her heart out.

Rion has a rare disease that has left her wrist joints deformed and she’s almost completely blind in her right eye. But you’d never know it from her attitude.

The crowd and judges loved her rendition of a Carrie Underwood song:

“Rion, I’m just so impressed with you right now and I cannot believe the struggles you have had and how positive you are,” judge Demi Lovato said after her, her counterparts, and the audience couldn’t help but giver her a standing ovation. “I think everybody in this room can learn something from you today.”

Get out the tissue box:

Glad.is Recommends Emerging Women Live 2014 – October 9th to 12th, 2014

Emerging Women 1

With feminine power on the rise, many women are feeling called to create a new kind of work life – one where we can be fully expressed and supported in our lifestyle choices. With technology made more accessible every day, the barriers to starting and growing a business are shrinking, and many women are choosing entrepreneurship as a path to a career of meaning and purpose, creative expression,  and financial success.  Other women in leadership or executive positions are using this paradigm shift to influence change in “the how” of doing business within companies or organizations.

This year’s event will be in New York  at the Sheraton Hotel Times Square. Relax and de-stress in New York  at the Sheraton Hotel Times Square and nourish yourself with integrative practices such as yoga, dance, and meditation.

At Emerging Women Live each participant will be introduced to a facilitated peer circle of about 15 participants at the event. These circles will address issues that are specific to the people in the group, questions or comments that arise from the material on the main stage, and themes that are emerging from the tribe. These circles are meant to be seeds for connection, peer support, and mentor-ship, and tied to many other circles as we continue to expand our reach. We are all in various stages of becoming, and there is no stronger foundation than to emerge within the support and wisdom of community.

Whether you are an executive, an entrepreneur, or a creative – if you are committed to expressing your unique gifts to the world, at Emerging Women Live you’ll find a community of like-minded women ready to help you succeed.

Emerging Women Live 2014 is a wonderful event for all women. Join Glad.is at th eSheraton Hotel Times Square in New York City for an enlightening experience.

April 11 – Be, Differently

positive affirmation

The way you are is the way you believe you are.

Change what you believe about yourself, and you change your life.

It’s easy to assume that you’ll always be stuck with how you are right now, but it’s short-sighted.  Your current perspective is powerful not only because our thoughts ARE powerful, but because you feel it with your whole being.

But your habits are your habits only because you keep choosing to maintain them. The limitations you assume yourself to have, are yours only because you continue to believe, support and defend those assumptions.

You can be differently. You can imagine a more fulfilled, effective and purposeful you.

Instead of spending all your thoughts and energy on your problems and frustrations, give some power and feeling to your dreams. Rather than conjuring up excuses for why you can’t live those dreams, visualize rich scenarios in which you are bringing them fully to life.

If you’re not completely satisfied with how you are, imagine differently. Intensely feel the beauty and joy of what you imagine, and steadily bring it to life.
